Coordinating the Donation of Agricultural Produce Using Satellite Image Processing
The annual food loss report states that in 2020, 1.1 million tons of excess, high-quality, edible food were thrown away. The large waste of food on the one hand and the growing need for food among a significant part of the population on the other hand, is the core of the activities of Collect Israel.
A targeted appeal to farmers at the most appropriate time for collecting surpluses can allow more accurate and more abundant collection of surplus agricultural produce all over the country.
